Rights and Responsibilities
This is part of our history day project. Our theme was Rights and Responsibilities, and our topic was Salem Witch Trials. This relates to the topic because the witch trials were not fair trials. This topic dealt with the right to fair trial. Many people were accused and no matter what they were at least put in prison. There were over a hundred accused. Responsibility has to do with this topic because people had to be responsible and try to keep the people safe from unknown dangers. This is why people were accused because people were scared and just wanted to keep everyone safe. The mayors of the towns were almost like parents, protective of their children in which case was their towns and villages.Towns people were afraid and didn't know what to do so they turned to harsher punishments ,so that they could keep their families safe.
